What does your being need?

Personal Ceremony

This is a process of deep holding and self-permissions. It’s about warmth, love, allowing life energy flow, surrender, empowerment, of feeling the feelings, of being with, of having support and space to go through the shifts, all for you.

Traditionally Closing the Bones ceremony is for women who gave birth, to provide support to the physical body that did so much to bring new life and also to care for the spirit of the woman and who she is now, while acknowledging and deeply honoring and mourning that she is no longer the woman she was before the child. This can be done soon after the childbirth or even 20 years after.

And it is also a powerful ceremony for other major and significant-in-your-own-way transitions: deaths, births, major moves from one phase of life into another, from one version of self into another, leaving something big behind, letting go of what is no more and meeting the new self, a celebration and blessing of self now. It’s also about calling back and welcoming in parts of the soul that have been left behind, lost, forgotten, hidden. It’s about wholeness, completion, boundaries and freedom.

Are you going through a transition or have gone through a transition and feel incomplete, or feeling broken and stuck and depleted and wanting to go through a transition? Are you missing some parts of yourself or want to get to know more of yourself? Or do you possibly have no idea how you are feeling.
Do you need experience of care and safety?
Are you longing to release what you’ve been carrying and unsure or scared of what and how? What processing needs to happen in you and for you so more life energy flows? What chapters need to close and versions of self die? Have you been in a role for so long that all outside of that feels like a big new territory? Do you want to celebrate and acknowledge as how far you’ve come?
Are you always the caregiver? Are you ready to step into new experiences, into unknown with more trust, clarity, certainty, easy, power..? Do you need to experience acceptance? Are you ready to explore your own self a bit more or a lot more? Is there a lot of not-knowing living in you? Are there emotions and experiences that are suffocating you? Is there something that needs to be liberated in you? Something that needs to be reclaimed within you?

You are welcome here.

We will go as deep or as slow and layered as you need & want & have capacity for. I will be your guide, with a structure for more resource, spaciousness, safety, being as you are, rediscovering self.

Ceremony will be shaped based on your needs and soul’s guidance. It’s a day of weaving the strands of life.

For some, it will be a lot of about nurturing of the inner child, for some about shedding the layers, personal and ancestral, and for some celebrating the growing and becoming, or a variation… And it’s not about the process of others at all.
It is about you receiving. It’s about nurturing, closing, acknowledging, holding, shining, expanding, liberating, loving the parts of you.

Possible parts of the ceremony: herbal steam, family constellation, systemic ritual, cacao brewing, fire ritual, Rebozo massage, intuitive expression through paint, herb mandala, designing path forward, Limpia (cleansing bath), personal sauna, body and stomach massage, intuitive body work, drumming or other sound aid, Rebozo swaddling.

To speak to the ‘stages’ of a full day ceremony: there’s meeting, connecting, establishing trust with the body, cleansing, layer work, looking at and setting pieces of the path forward, ‘death’, ‘rebirth’, reunion with self. And the processes will be unique to each person.

While we do work with the essences of medicinal herbs, this is not an offering of a plant ceremony.
I offer travel appointments as well.

Connection with the body. Saying “hello and I’m here”. Attuning to the boundaries of the physical body. Exploring where the trust is. Exploring where the surrender is welcomed. And where the constrictions live in the body. Coming into the body from the mind. Being held with space. Experience support. Grounding. And maybe none of the above and you get to be in your own process in your own way that comes through.

What it physically looks like:

  • Clothes on
  • Laying on the mat on the floor
  • I use long rebozo scarfs and work with a section of the body at a time, moving from the head down. Rebozo is placed under the body and I lift and move that section.
  • I will be standing next to or over the body section while using rebozo as “an extension of my arms”.
  • The movement may be a gentle lift and hold, it may be a swaying motion, or it may be a bit of stretch, or a wider range motion.
  • I will listen to the body and to you and your input.

This process isn’t really something I can describe on the internal level. Every person’s process will be unique for themselves, depending on what pieces of the soul they’ve closed off or lost, or have been hurt, and what they are welcome in now.

What it looks like physically:

  • Laying on the cozy mat on the floor
  • Gently covered in a white sheet
  • Rebozo scarfs underneath the whole body
  • Starting at the head, I work with each section of the body and wrap it in Rebozo.
  • Swaddling parts of the body is about many things.
On the physical level it’s about the body feeling safely held, feeling protected, feeling cared for, a boundary to surrender into, feeling a boundary of your physical body that belongs 100% to you, and much more. I am not going to define it for you as it’s not about your mind knowing and having a story and expectation. It is all about you and your needs and life to that moment, in that moment, and forward.
  • After the initial “wrap” and working with main centres in the body, you get to lay with what is, with myself by your side and available for any adjustments and requests. I may play the drum or sing, bring herbs, or other elements for additional support as needs arise.
  • Then we “close” from the bottom – up. I will tighten the Rebozo scarfs working from the feet, moving up to the head, so what you’ve called in, gets to stay in you, is more snuggly. Like closing the gates after what needed to leave has left and what you’ve welcomed gets to stay in.
  • You will have time to again be with this experience, on your own timeline.
  • Instructed by your body and spirit, listening to any adjustments from you.
  • It’s about you, how much will you allow yourself to receive, to ask for what you need and want, to be with what’s coming up, while having support.
